Mr. Lewes currently serves as the Operations Manager and Co-Director, alongside Elizabeth Monroe, at W&MCAR. As project manager from 2006 to 2022, he was responsible for oversight of architectural history projects and report production. He holds an M.A. in American Studies from Â鶹Æƽâ°æ (2002). Mr. Lewes takes the lead on historical research for archaeological testing and data recovery projects, and for selected architectural history projects. He has researched and written historical context for more than a hundred cultural resource management studies, ranging in date from the Contact period to the twentieth century. Other experience includes research and writing for National Register nominations, HABS documentation, and historical marker text. He also presents the results of archaeological and historical research to a variety of audiences through talks, special websites, and informal publications.
