W&M professor to appear on WHRO's 'Another View'

Âé¶¹ÆÆ½â°æ faculty member Robert Vinson will appear Friday night on WHRO's "Another View" TV talk show to discuss the College's Lemon Project Initiative.

Vinson, assistant professor of and , serves as co-chair of the Lemon Project Committee. The committee is part of a multiyear effort to better understand the role of race in the College's history, including Âé¶¹ÆÆ½â°æ's own connections to slavery and race relations at the College from the end of the Civil War to date. The effort is named after a slave called Lemon whom the College owned in the early 18th century.

another viewThe half-hour weekly talk show is hosted by Barbara Hamm Lee, chief community affairs officer at WHRO. The 30-minute show focuses on issues impacting Hampton Road's African American community. It airs on Friday nights at 9 p.m. on WHRO digital television 15.1 (local cable PBS channel 15).

The show featuring Vinson will repeat on Sunday, July 4 at 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 6 at 10:30 p.m.  It can also be seen on WHRO World (Cox, 715) at 5 p.m. on Monday, July 5 and at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Programs are also available on the show's website, .
