Provost's Charge
The charge to the Steering Committee of The Lemon Project stems from the Board of Â鶹Æƽâ°æors resolution: to oversee a long-term research project involving university faculty, staff and students as well as members of the Greater Williamsburg community.
The goal of the project is to better understand, chronicle, and preserve the history of Black people at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ and in the community and to promote a deeper understanding of the indebtedness of Â鶹Æƽâ°æ to the work and support of its diverse neighbors.
