Real Estate Holdings

One of the Real Estate Foundation's primary roles is to acquire and develop real estate for �鶹�ƽ��. The Foundation acquires real estate in a variety of ways: by purchase, by transfer from �鶹�ƽ�� and other grantors affiliated with �鶹�ƽ��, and by gifts from outside donors. Its current $20 million in assets includes a collection of real estate holdings.

Featured Holdings

327 Richmond Road

This one and one half-story former residence was constructed in the late 1920s or early 1930s. A north wing addition was developed prior to 1950. The building was converted to office use in the mid-1980s. The 2,400 square foot building is situated on .214-acres. It is leased to �鶹�ƽ�� and occupied by the Center for Archeological Research.

Tribe Square

The building's top two floors include 14 apartments housing 56 �鶹�ƽ�� students. The housing is managed by �鶹�ƽ��'s Office of Residence Life. Each apartment features four bedrooms, two full baths, a living room and a full kitchen. The parking lot behind the building is accessed from Scotland Street. A breezeway allows access to Richmond Road directly from the lot, which is reserved for retail patrons. The one-acre site is developed in a way that maintains a sense of place that is appropriate for a location so near �鶹�ƽ�� and the Historic Area.

Discovery II

This two-story office building is located at 5308 Discovery Park Boulevard in the New Town mixed-use development of James City County, Virginia. The 20,116 square foot building was built in 2008 on 1.195-acres. The building is occupied by �鶹�ƽ�� and the �鶹�ƽ�� Real Estate Foundation.
