About Amber
Amber serves as Executive Director for Content & Strategy, guiding storytelling efforts across the university's flagship channels. She oversees the public relations, message development and integrated communications planning to advance the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ mission.
Her career in public relations has spanned industries, including higher education — most recently at Old Dominion University — as well as art museums, manufacturing and tourism. Amber began her career as a journalist, working for news organizations across the commonwealth, including as a beat reporter covering Â鶹Æƽâ°æ.
A second-generation journalist, Amber learned her trade in her father's newsroom in the heart of Appalachia.
