As part of the Housing and Dining Comprehensive Facilities Plan, Â鶹Æƽâ°æ is actively installing several geothermal systems that will efficiently and sustainably heat and cool nine residence halls and a new dining facility.
A total of 531 geothermal wells will be installed as part of this initial development.
- 27 wells serving the renovations and restoration of Monroe Hall
- 230 wells serving the four residence halls and dining facility at West 1 Housing and Dining
- 238 wells installed beneath Barksdale Field serving Jamestown East, Lemon and Hardy
- 36 wells serving the renovations and restoration of Old Dominion Hall
