Full Description
Elevate Leadership is a four-day program for new students looking to jumpstart their leadership experience at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ. During these four days on campus, new students will build connections with other future W&M leaders through interactive sessions, small group discussions, and community-building activities. Topics and themes for sessions, discussions, and activities include: Strengths Based Leadership, Emotionally Intelligent Leadership, Leading with Values, Courageous Dialogues and Conflict, Group Dynamics, and Resilience for Leaders. Additionally, participants will have some opportunities to explore campus and get to know some current student leaders.
Elevate will be held on campus, Wednesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 1st. The $150 registration fee includes double-occupancy housing (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night) in one of our residence halls and meals during the program. Applicants who would like to be considered for need-based financial assistance can indicate so on the application.
Important Dates:
- Applications are due Monday, June 29th; notifications will be sent to applicants no later than July 6th.
- Students selected to participate in Elevate will need to register between July 6th and July 20th.
- Participants arrive Wednesday, July 29th (between 2:00-3:30pm) and depart Saturday, August 1st (11:30am).
