2026 Evening of Excellence Award Submission Information

Evening of Excellence celebrates the outstanding leadership, scholarship, service and creativity of students at �鶹�ƽ��. The 2026 event will be held on Tuesday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chesapeake Ballrooms of the Sadler Center, and award submissions are due by Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Each spring, the Evening of Excellence provides us with an opportunity to pause and celebrate what is best about �鶹�ƽ��, our students. Their leadership, scholarship, service, creativity, and commitment to community are made possible through the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and mentors across Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Evening of Excellence will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Chesapeake Ballrooms of the Sadler Center. This annual celebration reflects our shared commitment to recognizing student achievement in all of its forms and strengthening the partnership between our academic and co-curricular communities.

If your department or program plans to present an award during the Evening of Excellence, please note the following important details:

Award Submission Deadline

All award information must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
To ensure accurate preparation and event coordination, we are unable to accept late submissions.

Prepared Remarks

To ensure a celebratory and well-paced program, we ask that all presenters limit their remarks to two minutes or less.

Please note that full award descriptions will appear in the printed program and will be incorporated into the evening’s script. As such, there is no need to include award descriptions in your prepared remarks submitted through the Qualtrics form.

Award Orders (Fleming’s Awards)

Departments choosing to order physical awards through Fleming’s Awards must place their orders directly with the vendor by March 25, 2026.
Student Affairs will coordinate the retrieval of all awards from Fleming’s for the event. In addition, we will provide a certificate for each award recipient as part of the formal recognition process.
