Building community connections year-round
Initiative Directors (IDs) are student leaders focused on planning, designing, and facilitating year-round programming for undergraduate students at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ. IDs collaborate to plan, promote, and implement both large-scale community initiatives as well as initiatives for distinctive student populations.

Orientation Aides work to enhance the acclimation of all students new to Â鶹Æƽâ°æ. As many new students' first impression of college life, OAs serve as a positive role model for students, a resource for parents and family members, and they fully participate in training and all orientation events.

Orientation Area Directors (OADs) are upper-level undergraduate students who have previously served as a member of the W&M Orientation Staff and have the desire to work at a high-level with university staff and faculty to ensure all incoming students and families have a successful transition.
The application process typically runs each September.

Transition Coaches (TCs) - Hiring in February/March
Helping you get your ducks in a row
Transition Coaches (TCs) are student leaders and certified Peer Educators who provide an additional layer of support through social and community networking, engagement opportunities, and peer initiatives.
Position Qualifications
Experience planning or leading projects, with the follow-through to see them to completion
Strong communicator who works well independently and as part of a team
Flexible and open to new approaches
Genuine interest in supporting undergraduate peers
