FAQ about the Entente Cordiale Challenge

On 8 April 1904, France and the United Kingdom signed the Entente Cordiale. Exactly 120 years later, Entente Cordiale Day was born to carry that spirit forward, under the patronage of King Charles III and the President of France. Every year, the association brings together the finest students from France, the UK and the US (since 2026 and America's 250th Anniversary) around a solution-focused academic challenge.

Information for Students

The Entente Cordiale Day Association brings together students and alumni from universities in the United Kingdom, France, and the United States to develop solution-focused research on a shared annual theme.

Groups of three students, of any nationality, discipline or level of study can register their team.

Registered teams will have until January to research, draft, and submit a report on this year's theme, "Artificial Intelligence, Power, and Ethics."

The 10 best reports from each country are selected for the Entente Cordiale Day Summit, where finalists present their proposed solutions before an international Grand Jury at the 2027 Entente Cordiale Day Summit, taking place on April 7-8.
