Biography
Maeve Harclerode ’28 is an Integrative Conservation major with an intended minor in Marine Science from Arlington, Virginia. Growing up in a family of conservationists and foresters, she developed an early appreciation for the natural world and a strong commitment to protecting it. She often spends her summers in Maine, where exploring Acadia National Park has deepened her interest in the balance between human well-being and healthy ecosystems.
Outside the classroom, Maeve serves as an EcoRep at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ, working with staff and students to promote sustainability on campus. She is also a member of the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Club Rowing team and Phi Sigma Pi, and enjoys spending time on the water, crafting, and picking blueberries. Maeve’s interests in conservation range from wildlife protection to collaboration with Indigenous communities and knowledge systems. Through the Conservation Research Program, she hopes to build skills in research, collaboration with partners, and engagement with local communities while expanding her perspective through cross-cultural experiences.
