Biography
Evelyn (Evie) Brantley ’27 is from Charlottesville, Virginia. With a lifelong love for nature and the outdoors, she hopes to build a career in conservation that allows her to care for and continue learning from the natural world. Through the Conservation Research Program (CRP), Evie is excited to bring together her academic interests by strengthening her Spanish skills while applying her passion for ecology to real-world conservation efforts. She is working with the Milpa Alta group on ecosystem restoration, where she looks forward to gaining hands-on experience in biological monitoring and grassroots organization as preparation for a future in conservation.
Outside the classroom, Evie is a sprinter/hurdler on the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ track team. She enjoys camping, baking sourdough, playing the piano and guitar, and spending as much time in creeks as possible.
