Program Expectations

To ensure a high-quality, mutually beneficial experience, the Hub outlines clear expectations for both ventures and student participants in our Internship & Externship Program.

For Ventures:

• Goal-Setting Meeting: Prior to the start of the experience, we’ll facilitate a brief alignment session to define project objectives, key deliverables, and the ideal learning environment for the student.
• Midpoint Check-In: For internships exceeding six weeks, a check-in is encouraged to ensure goals are on track and to adjust scope or support as needed.
• Exit Interview: At the close of the experience, we’ll gather feedback on intern performance, project outcomes, and opportunities to iterate and improve future matches.

For Students:

• Orientation Meeting: Students are expected to engage in a kickoff session with their venture mentor to establish expectations, timelines, and communication practices.
• Progress Check-In: Students should come prepared to reflect on their experience, raise questions, and realign priorities mid-project if needed.
• Exit Interview: All students will complete a short debrief to reflect on their learning, contribute feedback to the venture and the Hub, and help shape future opportunities for peers.
