Identity & Image

Identity

At Â鶹Æƽâ°æ, I have found my identity within the context of historic and contemporary marginalization. With the Internet and social media, I am able to provide a platform for the voiceless, allowing them to reach a wider audience than what they have had in the past. Moreover, these communication channels have given me a personal opportunity to be a leader and the ability to share the messages and stories of those who are not in a position of power through online media content.

Through the Mason School of Business and the professional development my Finance major provides, I have learned to manage people's perceptions of me, whether in a strategy presentation, an interview, or a simple one-on-one conversation. I've discovered the different facets of myself and learned to sell my strengths and improve my weaknesses. Adaptivity and flexibility are important to be successful in all sorts of environments.
