About Brandon

Brandon Hennessey is the newly appointed Director of the W&M Entrepreneurship Hub, where he plans to continually foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and regional community engagement.

Previously, Brandon served as Director of Research Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Longwood's Office of Community and Economic Development; consulting, planning, and implementing entrepreneurship support programs, research, and events collaboratively across Southern Virginia. Additionally, he had the privilege of being an adjunct professor at Longwood University, teaching of Finance and Management in the College of Business and Economics; as well as Social Entrepreneurship and Citizenship in the Honors College.

Brandon earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) undergraduate degree in 2012 and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) graduate degree in 2017 from Longwood University. He utilized his undergraduate degree to serve Prince Edward County Public Schools as an art educator for five years, before transitioning to a career in entrepreneurial support.

In his role as Director of the W&M Entrepreneurship Hub, Brandon is dedicated to creating opportunities for students, faculty/staff, and community to utilize the entrepreneurial mindset to catalyze change in their lives.
