Preferred/Chosen First Name
Tribe Card Services has adopted Âé¶¹ÆÆ½â°æ's policy on Preferred Name, Gender Identity and Personal Pronouns as it relates to the printing of a Tribe Card.
If a student has a Preferred/Chosen First Name listed in the Personal Info tab in or at , that first name is the default name printed on a Tribe Card. If a Faculty/Staff member has a Preferred/Chosen First Name listed in their Personal Information page in that first name is the default name printed on a Tribe Card.
This option is available only for first names. In order to maintain identity verification, last names must match all submitted government issued IDs.
Do you need your legal first name listed on your Tribe Card for additional proof of identity? Leave the Preferred Name field blank in Banner self-serve for Students and in Workday for Faculty/Staff until your card is printed. Once your card has been processed, you can update your record to include your Preferred/Chosen Name.
Please allow up to 24 hours for the systems to update prior to requesting a card.
