Kaplan Arena Renovation & Addition

The project consisted of two parts: renovating the existing arena and adding a new sports performance center.  Within the existing Kaplan Arena, the scoreboard and audiovisual experience were upgraded. Additional and renovated office spaces and locker room upgrades were also completed. During the construction of the Mackesy Sports Performance Center, the existing gymnastics area was be converted into a two-story space for locker rooms, offices and hospitality/meeting spaces. Additionally, upgrades, repairs and replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were addressed.

The 36,000-square-foot, multi-use Sports Performance Center features a strength and conditioning area, including two hydro-therapy pools and a sports medicine space as well as a new practice area housing a full-sized court for the basketball and volleyball teams. This facility provides an enhanced space to compete, train and study as an investment in player development that will benefit all sports.
