Virginia Coastal Resilience Collaborative The Virginia Coastal Resilience Collaborative (VCRC) is a cross-university initiative that expands existing Â鶹Æƽâ°æ and Virginia Institute of Marine Science programs addressing water resources and ecosystems as well as coastal resilience.
Established in 1940 and fully integrated with Â鶹Æƽâ°æ in 1979, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) is a trusted global leader in coastal and marine research, education and public engagement. As a state agency, VIMS has a legal mandate to conduct research and provide scientific advice to the Commonwealth. VIMS is home to Â鶹Æƽâ°æ’s Batten School of Coastal & Marine Sciences.
