Background
Corey Strickland (he/him) is a Costume Shop Manager and Stitcher based in Williamsburg, VA. He is currently Â鶹Æƽâ°æ’s Costume Shop Manager for the Department of Theatre & Performance, overseeing costume production on all Mainstage Theatre and Dance productions. He has previously worked as a stitcher at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Janiec Opera Company, and the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. He earned his degree at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ in 2017. Since then, he has worked in opera, ballet, and various regional theaters around Virginia and North Carolina.
Corey loves to share his knowledge of millinery, tailoring, and advanced costume construction with any interested students. Corey also serves as a mentor to Â鶹Æƽâ°æ’s Costume Shop employees.
