Support the Monroe Scholars
The Monroe Scholar Program began in 1982 as the "Presidential Scholar Program." At first, the only benefit the Scholars received was the opportunity to live in a designated residence hall. The generosity of our alumni and friends let us add a summer research grant of $2,000 in 1992. We were able to increase this award to $3,000 in 2003 and to $4,000 in 2025.
Your continuing generosity has allowed us to
- fund first-year research grants
- assist Monroe Scholars with academic conference travel
- increase the scale of our enrichment series, and
- hire student workers to support the program.
We hope that you consider to the success of future Monroe Scholars.
