Professor Swetnam-Burland interviewed by Archaeology Magazine
Recently, Professor Molly Swetnam-Burland was interviewed by Ben Leonard about a new discovery in Pompeii - a house that has frescoes very similar to those from the famous "Villa of the Mysteries." Professor Swetnam-Burland was involved in a museum exhibition about the Villa of the Mysteries early in her career and it featured prominently in her first academic publication! So it was an amazing opportunity for her to study the new frescoes, compare them to the famous Villa, and come up with some theories about what the "meant" to those who saw them in the last days of Pompeii.
