Sharon Indian School Register Nomination, Upper Mattaponi
The AIRC conducted archival and ethnographic research concerning the in King William County, which served the Upper Mattaponi and Rappahannock tribes during the Segregation Era. The 2005 project resulted in the school being successfully listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the erection of a state highway historical marker.
