Although the application process is similar for most students, we have tailored guidance for your student status and enrollment intentions.
Eligibility for federal financial aid is determined each year by completing the or the Virginia Alternative State Aid (VASA) application.
W&M Cost of Attendance – Student Aid Index (SAI) – Outside Scholarships/Additional Resources
Financial need will be determined using the estimated cost of two full-time semesters at W&M () and subtracting the (as calculated by the or VASA) along with any outside scholarships or additional resources.
Need-based financial aid includes grants, need-based scholarships, federal Direct Subsidized loans and federal work-study. These funding sources are required to fit within a student’s financial need.
